This controller is required for several retrofits into the Volkwagen Touareg
(7P) with Radio RCD-550:
- FISCON Bluetooth Handsfree for RCD-550
- Media-In Interface for RCD-550
In advance of installation of one of this components it is necessary to verify
whether the Infotainment Gateway is already present in the car. This is the
case if one of these components is already installed. Otherwise it is required
to check with a diagnostic interface (e.g. VAG-Com or at the VW dealer) whether
the address A7 is available. If it is not possible to login into this controller
it is not present and has to be retrofitted.
